The Power of the Word grew out of what was a newsletter for The Afrikan Poetry Theatre. APT has a mailing list dating back 30+ years. Old and new associates we keep in touch with at this point. Blogging became an outgrowth of distributing a newsletter via print. Blogging is timelier, being real-time. No waiting to put a newsletter together.
Why blog? Because it’s our neighborhood, it’s where we live. We create ourselves and we spend much of our time in some online mode. It’s just an extension of who we are and how we spend our time.
